Yucaipa, CA - Julie Ann Lewis was born June 20th, 1958, the second of four children to Elmer and Ann Lanari. She was born in the small town of Lamar, Co, but spent her early childhood in the small farming town of Cheyenne Wells, where she grew up playing and building lifelong memories with her siblings, cousins and friends. Julie attended Sacred Heart Catholic School in Cheyenne Wells before her family moved to Beaumont, Ca in 1965. She attended Beaumont High School, participating in multiple girls' sports, and even led the girls' tennis team to a runner-up in the California State Championship in 1975, alongside her sister, Leslie, her doubles partner. Julie went on to attend Mt. San Jacinto College and Colorado State University. Her Christian faith was the paramount principle in her life, and that even being confronted with death, she recited one of her favorite verses of Philippians 1:21, stating "to die is gain." She passed away June 28th, 2026, in San Bernardino, Ca. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, but is survived by her son, Daniel, her daughter-in-law, Yvette, two brothers, Brian and Jamie, and her sister, Leslie, as well as cousins and extended family in both California, Colorado, Kansas and Minnesota.
Julie loved greatly and was greatly loved. Services are scheduled with a viewing on August 6th, at Weaver's Mortuary in Beaumont, 4pm-8pm, and Mass on August 7th, at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church in Beaumont, Ca, at 11am.
